European Head of Internal Audit
Our client is a leading and well-established Insurance group with over 40 years of experience in providing speciality insurance products, they have multiple international office locations.
They are looking for a European Head of Internal Audit.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the planning and execution of internal audits over European locations
- You will lead the internal controls testing, walkthroughs and flowcharts to comply with company regulations.
- Perform remediation testing. Produce RAP
- Make sure routine testing is performed across, human resources, underwriting, claims, reinsurance, risk management, finance, Solvency II, governance, compliance, actuarial and IT.
- Documenting and recording all internal audit and testing on our Internal audit software.
- Comply with the company Internal Audit Policies to the letter.
- Make sure working papers that support the audit findings, the final internal audit report that is presented to the client. Are timely produced, accurate and complete
- Contact for the Luxembourg regulator.
- Be aware of any regulatory, auditing and legal changes.
- Liaise with Head of International Internal Audit and the audit team.
- Perform day to day internal audit staff including training.
Skills:
- At least 7 years’ experience in audit functions in the insurance sector.
- Already working multiple offices as Internal Audit
- CIA or equivalent professional qualification or studying towards.
- University degree in Accounting, Audit, Finance or other related fields
- Fluency in English and French are mandatory
- Another European language would be advantageous.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Ability to work remotely for a small and very busy internal audit team.
