THE GROUP

THE LUXEMBOURG BUSINESS
In December 2019, Gen II completed the acquisition of Quilvest Luxembourg Services, with Quilvest Private Equity remaining as a client of the newly established Gen II Luxembourg Services. The business offers Private Equity and Real Estate administration services, supporting over $5 Billion of assets and providing Gen II US clients with the capability to have a Luxembourg base of operations and trusted partner in Europe.
THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the established Luxembourg entity and become a key member of our team. The role sits within the Legal Team, which currently consists of two people, and will report to the Legal Officer and the General Counsel. As a Legal Analyst, you will be mainly focusing on the day-to-day corporate secretarial needs of Gen II’s clients.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft documents for client operations (e.g. board or shareholders resolutions)
- Draft client-related correspondence (e.g. cover letters, bank account closing letters)
- Draft investor transfer agreements
- Other corporate secretarial / paralegal tasks (e.g. accomplishing filing formalities)
- Take minutes of client board meetings
- Assist in the coordination of the bank account opening process, including filling out bank account opening forms
- Assist in the organization of the filing and maintenance of client documents
- Accomplish required filing formalities (RCS / RBE)
- Answer routine legal queries from colleagues
- Legal watch
- Assist in creating uniformity in contractual and legal documentation across the business
- General support to the business on specific legal topics
- Contribute to the maintenance and supervision of data quality and document management
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION
- Degree in legal or paralegal studies (minimum level: bachelor / licence)
- 1-2 years post graduate experience in the legal field, ideally within the financial industry
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including contributing to and being part of a strong team spirit
- Client-oriented with ability to build strong relationships with internal and external parties
- Ability to work autonomously, taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities with a commitment to delivering high quality work
- Excellent organizational skills complemented by a “can do” attitude
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and to work under pressure
- Ability to analyze and apply a large volume of technical data, and translate into simple language for a non-specialist audience
