Job Description:
- Drive logistics efficiency initiatives across the region’s assigned (distribution and manufacturing)
- Collect and analyse transportation and logistics data to help with future planning and decisions.
- Responsible to reduce transportation cost , to start up projects to support cost reduction programs,
- Must identify methods and research and areas to reduce freight cost and streamline processes around that linking to plants and DC’s.
- Must be able to partner with other departments to find ways to optimise logistics processes and implement new initiatives.
- Must be able to monitor with data and facts the progress on agreed initiatives.
- Responsible to show clear KPI’s around activities started/implemented (including logistics service provider performance).
- Must have a clear affinity with systems to support further development of the logistics function.
Required Skills/Experience:
- University degree in supply chain/logistics management
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in distribution/transportation environment
- Has affinity with ERP and warehouse management systems/transport management systems and is skilled in Microsoft office tools
- Understands relationship between data and operations
- Should be able to combine projects with operational support tasks
- Shold be a team player and should be able to accelerate in a dynamic international environment
- Has a proactive attitude/self-starter
- Some experience with change management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Strong Analytical skills
- Project management skills
- Should be able to priorities activities
