Product Development Manager

Megableu Group is active in the world for games for young children, families and millennials.  The group started its activities more than thirty years ago.  Today the group has deployed its activities around the globe with its headquarters in Luxembourg and filiates in France, Belgium and USA. The goal of the group is to invest in the further development of its assortments. This is mainly done by investing in new games that have an international appeal.  We are a human-sized group with a clear focus on product development, sales and marketing.

To accompany our development, we are looking for a group product Research and Development Manager.

Your profile:

• You are passionate about games and even more passionate about the design and development of new and existing games.
• You have a solid (at least 5 years) experience in either product development or marketing of consumer products, experience in games business is a bonus.
• People describe you as a creative person, full of ideas with a clear sense for innovation. Defining the consumer needs in an ever-changing world is your passion.
• You are bilingual in English and French.
• You are hands on, to the point and above all dare to defend your ideas.

• You will lead the R&D team of Megableu Group and will develop products for the worldwide market.
• All R & D projects will be under your responsibility and you will manage the link between external partners in order to achieve top results. 
• You will liaise with our inventor community which is a worldwide network of long-lasting relations.
• Together with our product managers and graphic teams you will design products from A to Z: from an early sketch to prototype validation and industrial production.
• Styling skills, creating ideas and translating them into realistic products are your strengths.
• Because of your drawing skills you are able to use your sketches for an effective communication of technical concepts.
• You love producing and giving clear, high-quality presentations that explain your design concepts intuitively.
• You feel comfortable taking the lead as project leader, also vis-à-vis the client. You feel at ease communicating on a regular basis with clients, suppliers, and other team members.
• You communicate well in an international environment with colleagues in different countries.
• You have experience with registrations, quality management and control and all type of product related audits.
• You are in daily contact with our manufacturers both in Europe and Asia. In line with the company’s reality, you build a network of premium suppliers and third parties.

Office place: the job will be based in Luxembourg, but partial home working is possible if you don’t live in Luxembourg.
